Horizon School Award

Emerson was re-designated in 2018 by the Association for Illinois Middle Schools (AIMS) as a "School to Watch," extending its prestigious ranking for a fourth time. Only 15 other schools in the nation have achieved that continuous ranking!

Illinois Horizon Schools to Watch demonstrate academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity, and organizational structures and processes designed to support a trajectory toward excellence.
