School in session on June 5

The 2007-08 school calendar allowed for a records/planning day on June 5, 2008, if sufficient emergency days remained.  Because three weather-related emergency days were used, and one records/planning day in March was used, school will be in session Thursday, June 5.

Help Save Trees and Never Miss a Take Home

Did you know that the Emerson take home is published, in its entirety, online? Add your name to the Emerson take home reminder list. Each time a new edition of the Emerson Enquirer is printed, you will receive an e-mail notice to let you know when it is available. Then, you can access the newsletter online and download the additional flyers.

With your name on the list, you will no longer receive the paper version of the Emerson take home. That means saving us over 200 pieces of paper per family, per year. It also reduces the wear on our school copiers and cuts the time needed for our PTO volunteers to copy and collate the newsletter. (You can choose to receive both versions, If so, please indicate in your e-mail.)

Last year, over 300 parents accessed the Emerson Enquirer online. Everything in the paper version is posted on the web page or included as a PDF file that you can download, open, and print.

The current edition is available at: http://www.d64.org/ems/page.php?pid=133
If you choose to return to the paper copy of the Enquirer, please send me an email indicating that you want to be on the list.

Thanks,

Mike Kennedy
