Four new Board of Education members will be welcomed May 1

District 64 will be welcoming four new members to its seven-person Board of Education in May, following the April 4, 2017 municipal elections.

According to the unofficial results from the Cook County Clerk, newly elected members are: Larry E. Ryles, Richard B. Biagi, Alfred C. Sanchez, and Eastman Tiu.

The Board of Education will conduct the official canvass of votes and seat the new Board members at an organizational meeting on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at Jefferson School (multipurpose room), 8200 N. Greendale, Niles. The new members were elected for four-year terms.

That same evening, the final meeting of the current Board will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Retiring members will be saluted for their dedication and service to the students, staff and community. They are: Board Vice President Scott Zimmerman; Board Secretary Vicki Lee; and members Bob Johnson and Terry Cameron.

With terms expiring in 2019, the three continuing members are: Board President Borrelli; and members Mark Eggemann and Tom Sotos.
