Check out a garden from Lincoln's unique seed library

Looking to try your hand at growing colorful flowers, crisp veggies or savory herbs this summer?

Peruse the offerings of both seedlings and seeds available to "check out" for free via a unique Seed Library online catalog at Lincoln Middle School's Learning Resource Center.

Simply email your order and pick it up at Lincoln this month during school hours. Now in its fourth year, the seed library was started through a grant from the District 64 Elementary Learning Foundation (ELF).

The library “checks out” heirloom seeds (NON-GMO) and sprouted plants to students, staff, and community members. Participants grow, harvest, and attempt to preserve seeds from their plants to "check in" each fall.

Go Green Park Ridge named the Lincoln seed librarians its March change-makers for sustaining these heirloom plants in our community.

Together We Discover, Learn, Grow & Care

At D64, our mission is to foster opportunities for discovery, engagement, and growth for all students. We accomplish this by nurturing interdependence, appreciation of differences, and care for self and others.
