D64 student art spotlighted at Maine East show

D64 student art spotlighted at Maine East show

Artwork from a dozen Emerson students will be spotlighted in the middle school display at Maine East High School's annual Art Exhibition, which runs from February 28 - March 3, 2018 in the Maine East Actors' Studio.

The exhibit spans the second weekend of their musical, SHREK, so come and enjoy both!

The student artists were selected by their teachers Mrs. Dziedzic, Mrs. Kmiecik or Mr. Marx, and include: 6th Grade Art - Riley Melby (2-point  perspective cityscape) and Kaitlyn Brown (clay slab tiki box); 7th Grade Art -  Gigi Scarpelli (celebrity monochromatic painting), Anna Wilkowski (coil vessel), Talia Lasky (spirit circle), Lucas McDonough (copper repousse) and  Catalina Padron (quilling); 8th Grade Photography - Sam Hecker (black & white photograph) and Paris Fear (Photoshop); 8th Grade Sculpture & Ceramics - Aaron Estrera (vase); and, 8th Grade Painting & Drawing -  Gabriela Brown (colored pencil tree) and Millie Diaz (colored pencil cactus).
