District 64 is joining with other schools across Illinois on Friday, October 26 to celebrate Principal Appreciation Day as part of a nationwide Principal Appreciation Month.

"As you know, our school leaders wear many hats as they serve as the hub and heart of our school communities," according to D64 Superintendent Laurie Heinz.

"They build strong connections with families to support each student’s well being and academic growth. They work collaboratively with teachers to build warm and nurturing environments for teachers to teach and students to learn, all while encouraging students to discover, learn, achieve and care each day," she noted.

"That’s why District 64 invites you to email, tweet, or phone your school administrators on October 26 to thank them for their leadership and dedication to their school community," Dr. Heinz added.
