Candidates to be interviewed for vacant Board of Education seat

The District 64 Board of Education at its February 6, 2017 meeting announced that it would interview all candidates who had submitted applications by the deadline. As planned, interviews will be conducted during a public meeting on Monday, February 13, 2017. An interview schedule is being developed and will be posted to the Board Vacancy 2017 webpage. The candidates are: Terry Cameron, Matthew Gilgunn, Chandra Kearney, Terry Krahl, Alan Martin, Denise Pearl, Ginger Pennington, Elissa A. Reiner, Joan Sandrik, Monica Wojnicki, and Larry Woodard.

The Board will appoint an interim replacement to serve until a new Board is seated following the April 4, 2017 municipal election. The appointment will be made in conformance with state law as found in Board Policy 2:70.

The February 13 meeting will be held at Jefferson School (multipurpose room), 8200 N. Greendale, Niles, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be recorded; the video will be posted to the Board of Education Meetings webpage.
