Click here to read Suspicious Incidents & Alerts.  When District 64 is notified by local police about suspicious incidents, we will post that information onto the website (see the link above).  If police believe the information has met its threshold for a formal alert, we will activate the Alert Now phone message service and/or send an e-mail List Serv message.

Phone Alert System

District 64 subscribes to an automated phone alert system (Alert Now), which allows a recorded message to be distributed to all parents and staff within a very short period of time.  The system utilizes the phone numbers parents and staff have provided to the school and District as their official contact information.  Please make sure you have provided your school office with accurate information so you can be reached.  This is the primary means of communications in an emergency.

E-mail List Serv 

Parents also may subscribe to a separate e-mail message service, called the List Serv, to receive occasional announcements from each school in which they have a child enrolled by following a link on that school's Web page.  Please remember to update this information as needed.

Emergency School Closings

School closings due to weather and other emergencies are posted on the District's website.  Closings also are posted on www.weatherclosings.com, and are broadcast on most local TV and radio stations.  District 64 also will activate the Alert Now phone message service to call all homes when a decision to cancel school is made for inclement weather, typically before 6:30 a.m. for snow emergencies.
