Puppetown

WELCOME TO PUPPETOWN!
 Population:  103

Welcome to "Puppetown," home of a collection of puppets that drifted into our district for teachers and students to use to enhance the curriculum with limitless creativity!  Please keep them in their containers when they are not being used.  It keeps them healthy!  Thanks!  We'd like to have them around for a long time.

The District 64 Elementary Learning Foundation has underwritten a grant of $2,300 to create "Puppetown," and we thank the committee members for their vision and generosity toward this project.

The Story of
"PUPPETOWN"

Once upon a time,
Not so long ago,
Artists crafted some puppets
With a special glow.
The work complete at last,
The puppet makers claimed
That it was their best work yet,
Each one "specially" named.
After packing them
Most carefully,
In their big, hot air balloon,
They released them one night
By the light of the Crescent Moon.
"Look! Over there!" they shouted,
"Washington, Franklin and Field,
Roosevelt, Carpenter and Jefferson."
The puppets kept their eyes peeled.
"A great place to live!
Without a doubt,
The whole child's important!
Let's check it out!
District 64 -- this place we've found,
Will be the home of
PUPPETOWN!"
