Senior Tax Exchange Program

The Senior Tax Exchange Program allows retired residents age 55 and over who live within District 64 boundaries to share their expertise with students and staff.  As an incentive to involve seniors in the educational program, District 64 reimburses them for their time.  The current payment is the State's minimum wage of $8.25 per hour.  The partnership enhances the District's educational program by bringing seniors and students together to share their knowledge and experiences, and also provides senior citizens with property tax relief.
