Home-School Connection: Nurturing Social Emotional Health

The D64 Superintendent Focus Group welcomed noted expert Dr. Charlene Myklebust on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 to introduce the topics of social emotional learning (SEL) and launch a conversation in our community.

Dr. Myklebust provided an overview of SEL, an introduction to the framework offered by CASEL (Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning), and a description of how the new District-wide Second Step curriculum addresses students’ social emotional development.
