About

We are the Wildcats!

George Washington Elementary School is one of the five elementary schools in District 64. Washington educates students in Kindergarten through grade 5, with approximately 620 students averaging four to five homerooms per grade level. Our students move on to grades 6-8 at Lincoln Middle School, and later attend Maine South High School District 207. In District 64, we focus on 21st Century Learning and social emotional learning through a District program called Civil Behavior. We also provide many additional supports to our students including special education, literacy, accelerated programming, and second language support, and offer various clubs and activities. In addition, Washington benefits from a very active and supportive parent community and Parent-Teacher Organization.
