Today Washingtons PTO brought in Author Kelly Di Pocchio to come talk to our students about the writing process and how a book is born. The students loved the opportunity to spend time learning about the writing process with a published author. Kelly did a wonderful job engaging the students and staff in her experience and encouraging students to keep trying when it comes to writing.
Having a presenter come in with first hand knowledge is always exciting for the students, they are able to make connections and see real life examples of things they may be questioning or not understanding. We are so fortunate to be able to bring these experiences to our students and provide them opportunities that it is important to always try their hardest and not give up. Thank you PTO for bringing Kelly here today.
