It is an outgrowth of Illinois Arts Education Week (March 11-17, 2019), an annual initiative sponsored cooperatively by the Illinois State Board of Education and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in cooperation with the Illinois Art Education Association. The initiative reinforces the importance of the arts in the growth and development of all Illinois students.
