Carpenter's second graders who met their reading goal over Thanksgiving Break were rewarded with a visit by Skates, the mascot of the Chicago Wolves. Mrs. Mata and I read books to the students as Skates provided us with his associated non-verbals. The students had a great time! Then Skates had one more surprise for them and offered every student there 2 tickets to a Wolves game over Winter Break.
