Carpenter Places 2nd in Battle of the Books

I owe our Battle Team an apology.  Poor journalism by this reporter led to a premature 3rd place report in last week's Courier.  I did not know that there was a Thursday afternoon battle that led to Carpenter ascending in the standings to 2nd place.  Congratulations to our students and our wonderful coach, Mrs. Loftus!  Our team sure read a lot of books!  The team had a celebration lunch together last week and will be recognized next week with the other participating schools by the Park Ridge Library. Congratulations to Franklin's Team that edged us out 504 to 498 points.
