Third Graders Experience High School Fine Arts

Third Graders Experience High School Fine Arts

On February 20, the Maine South theater students performed the children’s classic, Pippi Longstocking.  Thanks to grants from the District 207 Educational Foundation and the Park Ridge Cultural Arts Council, all District 64 third graders attended the production as well as experiencing four fine arts workshops.   Children learned about four facets of fine arts: drama/tech, music, art, and broadcasting, led by Maine South students.  This comprehensive venture gave our children a taste of how a book can come to life.  The day was a highlight of our school year and will be remembered for years to come.
