Spring Break Reading Recommendations

Are you looking for some great spring break reading?  Our students can recommend a few 'good reads'! We've been voting for our favorite Monarch and Bluestem books in the LRC!  Students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade chose the following as best on the Monarch list:  1st place:  If I Built a House, 2nd place:  The Day the Crayons Quit, 3rd place: Creepy Carrots.  

3rd through 5th chose the following as the best on the Bluestem list:  1st place:Small Steps: The Year I Got Polio, tie for 2nd:  The One and Only Ivan and  Chained.  

We're especially proud of our 17 3rd through 5th grade students who managed to read 4 books from the Bluestem list and take 4 Accelerated Reader quizzes.  They enjoyed a Bluestem Bash in the LRC!  The pictures are included!
