Google Expeditions @ Carpenter

Google Expeditions @ Carpenter

On Friday, November 13th, Google Expeditions visited Carpenter.  Our teachers were trained in the morning about utilizing the technology with their classrooms. It was new to everybody, so I give our teachers a lot of credit to be able to be flexible and teach a lesson in an entirely new way. Grades 2-5 had about a 25-30 minute virtual field trip to different locations in the world.  The expeditions included an Ocean Safari, the Great Barrier Reef, Sharks, National Parks, Landforms, the Moon, and Biomes.  Some of the classrooms may have jumped around to different locations as well.  It was an exciting day of learning not only about the places our students visited, but also about the technology that brought us there. If you have a 2nd-5th grader, ask them where they went when they come home!
