Read-a-Thon for Ethiopian Well Follow-up: UPDATED 7/14/16

In the 2015-2016 school year, Carpenter raised almost $23,000 for wells in Ethiopia.  Our Ms. Keenan is currently there and was able to take a few pictures of the wells being put in. It is tremendous to see firsthand the impact that our community's donations have on a community across the world.

We were very fortunate to see the first few drops of water stream out of the hand dug well Carpenter bought. Everyone was very happy! Lots of clapping and cheering! Thanks to everyone who made this happen. - Ms. Keenan

Pictures from Ethiopia - it was also interesting to hear from Ms. Keenan how the children didn't know or understand what her camera was. She shared she was able to get a lot more smiles after she took a picture and then showed the children the photo so they knew what it was.
