Congratulations to Maren, a Carpenter 5th grader, whose story Soar was selected as the district's winner for 5th grade stories. It was very exciting to hear that across District 64, there was a total of 250 submissions - we have a lot of writers here in D64! Maren will be recognized at a future Board Meeting and will be invited to attend the 42nd Illinois Young Authors' Conference.
