Carpenter Construction Update

Carpenter Elementary School

Carpenter Elementary School

With the recent addition of Full Day Kindergarten in District 64, additions and construction projects are being done at each elementary school in order to create the necessary space.

Starting on March 14 and going through March 18 you’ll see the first steps in this process at Carpenter.  That week temporary fencing will be installed around much of the west side of campus, including the current employee parking lot.  This fencing will enclose the entire construction site as well as the temporary staging and roadways necessary for the contractor.  The entrance for the construction site will be where the current parking lot entrance is.  As a result the only available parking at Carpenter for the time being will be on the street.

If you have any construction questions or would like to see the site plans and renderings, a Construction Open House with District 64 Administration will be held in the north gym at Carpenter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5. This is not an opportunity to ask questions about curriculum, the program itself, or kindergarten logistics. This meeting is to only discuss the construction.

Thank you for your cooperation during this exciting addition to what we offer in District 64.
