On Saturday, the Emerson Concert Orchestra 1 and Emerson/Lincoln Chorus performed and competed at the Music in the Parks Festival in Gurnee. Following the performances, they spent the day at Great America where the groups met for an exciting awards ceremony.
The Concert Orchestra and Chorus competed against schools from all around the country (Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana to name a few!). We are so thrilled to say that Chorus earned the highest Superior rating and both Chorus and Orchestra took home the 3rd place overall trophy this year in our respective divisions!
