Middle School Lunch
Middle school students in grades 6-8 remain at school during their scheduled lunch period.
District 64 partners with Quest Food Management Services to provide a high quality lunch program for students in grades 1-8. District 64 also conducts a food composting program in the lunch rooms as part of its District-wide sustainability initiatives.
Monthly Menus 2019-20:
(Menus open in a separate window)
Unlike the elementary schools, families do not need to preorder meals or beverages. Students may select from the daily offerings:
- The cost of the daily lunch including milk/water and the fresh fruit and salad bar is $4.30.
- Quest also offers extensive a la carte selections daily from its Grill, Crust, Bread & Bowl, and Hemispheres stations and other items. View the a la carte menu price list for 2019-20 here, and find more details in the FAQs below!
Nutritional information is available on the Quest website at this link. More detailed questions about menus, nutritional information and food service should be directed to Quest Food Service Director Lindsey Borchers via email or by phone at 847-962-9957.
Two ways to pay at lunch:
- Cash at the register or
- MySchoolBucks account (students enter ID number on a keypad at the register to check out using this account)
If you would like to add value to your child’s lunch account, just enter the payment site on this page or send a check to the office that can be added to the account.
Application for free lunch/milk is available on the "Pay Student Fees" page of the website.
Do you already have a MySchoolBucks account for your high school student? Review these simple directions to quickly add your middle school student to your existing account.
Behavior at Lunch
For all grade levels, expectations for student behavior are the same during lunch as the remainder of the school day. (Please see "Behavior at Lunch" within the annual District 64 Student-Parent Handbook.)
