Emerson & Lincoln Ochestra Workshop

Emerson & Lincoln Ochestra Workshop

Concert Orchestra 1 students from Emerson & Lincoln participated in a two-hour, intensive workshop this morning, Thursday March 22. This workshop was led by Carrie Provost from VanderCook College of Music, director of the Naperville Youth Symphony, and retired orchestra director in Wheaton.

The clinic featured an in-depth rehearsal of both classical and popular repertoire, including: Luminescence (Alan Lee Silva), Dramatic Essay (Mark Williams), Final Countdown (Europe) and How Far I'll Go (Moana).

This was truly a rewarding and educational experience for our young musicians. The Lincoln Orchestra will be performing these selections on their spring concert on April 24 at Lincoln. The Emerson Orchestra will be performing on May 1 at their spring concert at Emerson.
