2019 8th Grade POWER

Students at Event

Emerson hosted the annual POWER teen night. Almost 400 Lincoln and Emerson students took part in this exciting event, which focused on developing leadership skills and promoting healthy choices for our eighth graders. POWER's goal is to bring together middle school youth, community members, middle school staff, and high school leaders to develop trusting relationships as well as providing a framework for understanding oneself and others.  The program also strives to teach young people the skills needed to develop healthy peer relationships, resist negative peer pressure, and promote responsible decision-making. As you see, we had a wonderful time. Click here to view additional pictures.
