Today, students participated in the second Emerson's SOARS day, which focused on showing respect and offering empathy to others. In sixth grade, students discussed their interactions with friends and understanding the role of an ally. In seventh grade, students explored how to negotiate and compromise during various situations. Finally, the eighth grade students identified characteristics of effective leaders and discussed being an ally for others in need. During the activities, I am proud of our students' engagement and willingness to participate in meaningful discussion.
