I would like to congratulate Emerson's 7th and 8th grade Girl's Basketball Teams on wonderful seasons. This year, both teams won sixteen games, while only losing four.
The highlight of the 7th grade season was their two victories over a strong Friendship Middle School team in less than one week. In both games, the Emerson players had to make adjustments to plays, defense or press breaks in the middle of the game in order to be victorious.
The highlight for the 8th grade season was their victory over their rival, Lincoln Middle School. This was their first victory over Lincoln in the past three years.
During this season, both teams took 3rd place in the Elk Grove Tournament, as well as taking 2nd place in the MCSL tournament.
Congratulations to both teams on very successful seasons!
