Arbor Day Celebration

Arbor Day Celebration

In honor of Arbor Day, Emerson was a recipient of a beautiful American Linden tree from the Village of Niles. On April 24, members from the Village of the Niles, including the Mayor, joined the Emerson Soaring Eagles in a planting celebration ceremony. Wonderful poems created and recited by Nicole B., Isabella C. and Connor B. , along with speeches by the Environmental Practice Committee Chair and the Mayor inspired all in attendance. It was a very nice event, which concluded with treats and lemonade. The tree was planted in the northwest corner of Emerson, near the bike rack.
