District 64 Orchestra Clinic

Concert Orchestra 1 students participated in a two-hour, intensive workshop on Tuesday, March 14 combined with Lincoln Middle School. This workshop was led by Joanne May- Associate Professor of Music Education at Elmhurst College and former orchestra director of Glenbard East High School.  The clinic featured an in-depth rehearsal of both classical and popular repertoire, including Avenger (Rob Grice), Toccatina (William Hofeldt) and Divertimento No. 9 (Mozart). We begin work on Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop the Feeling upon return from spring break!

This was truly a rewarding and educational experience for our young musicians. The Emerson Orchestra will be performing these selections at our May 2 concert in the Emerson gym at 7:00pm. All are invited to attend- free admission!
