Check out Lincoln's heirloom seed library for spring

Spring has finally arrived and it's time to plant some heirloom seeds!

The Lincoln Middle School Heirloom Seed Library was begun as an Elementary Learning Foundation (ELF) grant and continues through the generosity of Lincoln Middle School's PTO. A variety of heirloom, non-GMO, flower and vegetables seeds are available. These seeds can be saved from the mature plants at harvest time and planted year after year.

If you're interested in checking out seeds, see what is available by accessing the Seed Library webpage. Please submit your requests to Mrs. Anka Rasic, arasic@d64.org, and arrange for pick-up.

Children of the community will be able to plant some heirloom seeds at the Park Ridge Farmer's Market on Saturday, May 26. There will also be the opportunity to check out seeds that morning. You'll find the Lincoln Seed Library in the Children's Tent!
