District 64 schools will not open again during the 2019-20 school year as Illinois Governor Pritzker on Friday announced a suspension of in-person learning for schools across the state. Remote learning will continue.
Gov. Pritzker addressed students in his daily press briefing, offering them optimism and hope that they will learn from this experience and use it to help society in the future.
"You're going to learn what it means when the world works together. And the best part is you are going to be the ones guiding us forward," the Governor said.
District 64 Superintendent Eric Olson said his administrative team was already preparing for the possibility that schools would remain closed. He will address the District 64 community in a letter to staff and parents/guardians on Monday, April 20.
