D64 at the Taste of Park Ridge 2024

District 64 Board Members and Supt. Dr. Ben Collins pose for a picture at the Taste of Park Ridge

The Taste of Park Ridge is underway through Saturday night, and a group of District 64 volunteers helped get things going on day one.

Stationed at the ticket booth, we had the opportunity to greet people as they came to either get tickets or simply say hello.

Board President Dr. Denise Pearl, Board Secretary Matt Doubleday, and Board Members Phyllis Lubinski and Rachel Georgakis joined Superintendent Dr. Ben Collins. As we handed out tickets for the local fare, the community shared their stories of summer so far or what they’ve been up to since they’ve gone on to D207 and college.

Seeing all the D64 students - present, past, and future was great!

Thursday was also an opportunity for the community to continue getting to know Superintendent Dr. Collins and offer encouragement as we prepare for the upcoming school year.
