District 64 Important Calendar Updates

As we look forward to the re-opening of our schools on Monday, January 12, please note that District 64 will be making two adjustments to the school calendar to accommodate the use of these emergency days:

  • This Wednesday, January 14, will be a FULL day of student attendance, NOT the shorter early release schedule we normally observe on Wednesdays. This change is required to be in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education rules. The early release schedule will resume on Wednesday, January 21.
  • Although District 64 sets aside four emergency days within the school calendar on an annual basis, if more than two are used prior to February 1, the March records planning day, which is attended by staff only, becomes a day of student attendance. Therefore, District 64 schools will have a regular day of school for students and staff on Monday, March 9.

We appreciate your understanding of these calendar adjustments, and look forward to welcoming students back to our classrooms on Monday.
