New Kindergarten Roundup evenings planned for April 18-21

New Kindergarten Roundup evenings planned for April 18-21

For the first time, all five District 64 elementary schools are planning Kindergarten roundup evenings for incoming kindergartners and their parents at the five elementary schools.

A special "Roundup Week" has been created to welcome our youngest students for 2016-17:

  • Monday, April 18 - Roosevelt and Washington
  • Tuesday, April 19 - Carpenter
  • Thursday April 21 - Field and Franklin

The school offices will be open from 5:30-6 p.m. for parents with questions or who need assistance with the registration process for 2016-17, or to drop off a birth certificate and complete the Home Language Survey.

The roundup for parents and prospective 2016-17 kindergarten students will be from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and will include an orientation with the principal and teachers, and a kindergarten classroom visit.

Franklin’s evening will begin and end a half-hour earlier.

Parents are strongly encouraged to complete the 2016-17 pre-enrollment process before attending a Roundup.
