Mrs. Richards' third grade reading class has been getting ready for Units of Study and practicing our stamina. We have been reading all year to earn "Reading Money" to buy, what else, books! Here's how it works. We read a book and complete a book report on it. We can also chose to listen/read books on RAZ kids and complete the quiz.
Mrs. Richards gives us a $1 for every ten pages in the book. Our money is kept track of in our reading bank books. When we reach a $100 dollars (which means we've read a 1000 pages), we get a $5 coupon to buy books from our Scholastic book orders.
What a fun way to get students excited about reading.
