2nd Graders doing Ocean Research

2nd Graders doing Ocean Research

Our second graders have been busy researching different types of species found in the ocean.  They used sources from the library to help them gather information on their body, the habitat in which they live, fun and interesting facts, what food they eat, and their predators.  Students will be using this information to prepare a google slide presentation on their animals.  This project has led to many interesting conversations in and out of the classroom.  One of my favorite discussions so far has been between two students in the library discussing why predators can be both harmful and helpful and why.  It is great to see our second graders using their research skills and asking each other thought provoking questions.  Keep up the great work!
