Mystery Teacher Swap on December 19th

Mystery Teacher Swap on December 19th

The last hour before break we had fun at Washington school. The teachers swapped spaces and read to a different classroom. We had an hour of the Mystery Teacher Swap. The teachers rotated to four different classrooms every 15 minutes reading to the students something that was their favorite. We had teachers reading jokes, poems, singing songs, reading picture books, sharing their favorite holiday tales, etc. It was really exciting to see our specials teachers step into the classrooms and read a book. This was a great time for students to see their teachers in a different light. Teachers reported that they liked this moment because they got to see some of their old students and see how far they have come and grown up they are, while other teachers enjoyed meeting the younger students building that comfort of familiarity. The students and staff at Washington really enjoyed starting their holiday break with some reading fun!
