Community students invited to join our preschool for 2016-17

District 64's Community Preschool program at Jefferson School is currently accepting applications for the 2016-17 school year. If you have a child who will be 3 or 4 years old on or before September 1, 2016 and you reside in District 64, you are eligible to register for the preschool program.

Jefferson School is a blended preschool program where students with special needs and typically developing children learn together in a play-based preschool environment. The curriculum is aligned to the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards and the District 64 kindergarten curriculum.

"District 64 is proud of the high quality education provided the preschool children, as there is a very low student-teacher ratio and the teaching staff is highly qualified," according to Principal Lisa Halverson.

To register, visit the Registration page of the District website to pre-enroll. After your residency documents are reviewed for accuracy and completeness, you will be notified if your child has been accepted or will be placed on the waitlist.

Please contact Principal Halverson at 847-318-4249 for a tour.
