Entering Kindergarten families invited to "roundups" in April

Calling all kindergarten students for 2017-18!

District 64 invites our incoming students and parents/guardians to a Kindergarten Roundup Evening at the five elementary schools in April. Mark your calendars to attend the Roundup at your school on a designated evening Tuesday - Thursday, April 18 - 20. The school offices will be open for parents with questions or who need assistance with the registration process, or to drop off a birth certificate and complete the Home Language Survey. The roundup also includes an orientation with the principal and teachers, and a kindergarten classroom visit.

The schedule includes:

  • Field School - Tuesday, April 18 -  office open 5:30-6:30 p.m.; 6-7 p.m. presentation and tour
  • Carpenter School - Wednesday, April 19 - office open 6:30-8 p.m.; presentation at 7 p.m.
  • Franklin School - Wednesday, April 19 - office open 5:30-7 p.m.; presentation and tour at 6:00 p.m.
  • Roosevelt School and Washington School - Thursday, April 20 - office open 5:30-6:30 p.m.; presentation 6:00 p.m.; tour 6:40 pm.

A child must be five years old on or before September 1, 2017 to be eligible for kindergarten.Residency documents and a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate are required to register.
