Read to Someone
Ms. Rubeo’s second grade class is learning about the different Daily 5 Reading stations. There are five stations in all, read to self, read to someone, write to read, word work, and guided reading, today they were learning about reading to someone. In this activity the students pair up with another student and read to each other. The students are reading together using EEKK, (elbows to elbows, knees to knees). They are practicing building their stamina in reading with a partner. This a great opportunity for students to continue their growth in reading along with helping each other sound out words when needed. This encourages partnership and friendship, and allows everyone to participate on their own level.
