Last week on Tuesday, August 18th we welcomed all of our Washington Wildcats back to school. It was a great day to see excited, smiling faces who were ready to be back at school ready to learn. This year we are setting goals and working hard to help out students take ownership in their learning, demonstrating a growth mindset. I met with each grade level during their intervention block to explain what having a growth mindset means. We discussed how it is okay to not know something but it is not okay not to try. I encourage my Wildcat families to encourage their children to make mistakes and learn from them. Welcome back! I am excited for an awesome 2015-16 school year!
