Schools across the district joined forces once again for the annual Green Locker and Desk Clean-Out. Before tossing items into the trash, students were asked to examine their supplies through a three-step process.
- Reuse: Identifying items that could be saved and used for the upcoming school year.
- Recycle: Properly sorting items that could be recycled, like paper, paper folders, and composition notebooks.
- Donate: Gathering gently used school supplies to give them a second life.
Any surplus supplies not kept for school use were packed up and donated to Mannheim Middle School near Melrose Park, ensuring high-quality resources went directly to students who need them most.
