Elementary School Lunch
March 2019 - New! Third daily choice added to elementary hot lunch menu
At the request of parents, D64's elementary hot lunch menus beginning on March 11 will have a third entree available. The selection will change weekly and will feature a popular menu staple, such as a chicken patty sandwich or cheeseburger. As a reminder, elementary lunch orders are placed by Wednesday for the week ahead.
Elementary students in grades 1-5 remain at school during their scheduled lunch period.
District 64 partners with Quest Food Management Services to provide a high quality hot lunch program for grades 1-8.
District 64 elementary families have the opportunity to preorder a hot lunch four days per week. A pizza day lunch one day per week is offered by the individual school PTO/As as a fundraiser.
Students may also choose to bring a lunch from home, and either provide their own beverage in an unbreakable container (no cans or glass bottles) or preorder daily milk or water.
In addition, District 64 also conducts a food composting program in all school lunch rooms as part of our sustainability initiatives.
