Tentative Tax Levy adopted

Park Ridge-Niles School District 64

The District 64 Board of Education adopted its 2020 tentative estimated property tax levy on Oct. 8. The tentative levy totals $73.8 million for 2020, a 3.93 percent increase over 2019. District 64 will only receive a 2.30 percent increase plus the taxes associated with new construction.

The percentage increase was deliberately set high enough to capture the full tax benefit of new construction in the District. The District will hold a Truth-in-Taxation hearing during the November 12 Board of Education regular meeting. The final levy is scheduled for adoption at the December 10 Board of Education meeting.
