Communications
The Communications Department brings the District’s story to life with award-winning content to captivate and inform our families in a clear and transparent manner. We showcase what makes D64 a Destination District through compelling storytelling, bridging connections between our dedicated staff, incredible students, and the entire Park Ridge-Niles community.
Additionally, the Communications Department manages internal and external communications throughout the school district. Chris Lilly, Director of Communications, is the District and media liaison. The Communications Department oversees our social media presence, curates and monitors all District and school websites, and champions strategic communication efforts to keep our community informed and engaged.

District 64 coordinates with other school districts in our community (62, 63, 79 and 207). The Superintendents work together on closing decisions for severe weather-related conditions or other emergency situations. D64 currently does not have an eLearning option, so in the event we need to close school, it would be a no student attendance day.
Any decision to cancel school or alter the school day is based on general safety conditions for all students and staff. Districts know that conditions may vary for each student or family. If, in the event of severe weather when schools are open, you feel it is unsafe to send your student to school, please contact the school office.
Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 has an obligation to post the following information per 5ILCS 140/4(a). This includes FOIA Documents: Summary of Purpose, Organizational Chart, Operating Budget, Locations, Employees, and Board of Education.
