Board agrees to back-up plan for custodians

Park Ridge-Niles School District 64

The District 64 School Board Thursday voted to enter into a three-month contract with OpenWorks, a facility maintenance services company, as a back-up for custodial work.

Currently, District 64 is experiencing a shortage in custodians. While the district uses a pool of substitute custodians, this contract gives District 64 a back-up in case there aren’t enough substitutes in that pool to clean the schools.
