ELF honors four D64 students with Judith Snow Award

The District 64 Elementary Learning Foundation (ELF) honored four eighth-grade students with the prestigious Judith L. Snow Ethical Leadership Award. The students were presented the award during Eighth-Grade Promotion Ceremonies this week.

Named after a 25-year resident of Park Ridge and dedicated member of the League of Women Voters, the coveted annual award shines the spotlight on one or more eighth grade students who are respected for leading by example.

The winners are Katherine Clare Barker and Ryan S. from Lincoln Middle School and Noah MunozLo and Maeve Staunton from Emerson Middle School.

Each of these students has proven themselves to be exemplary ethical leaders. Each knows their core values and has the courage to live them in all parts of their life in service to the common good. The students have shown to be principled ethical leaders who lead with integrity, selflessness, dependability, caring and fairness.

They were chosen based on their personal essays as well as recommendations from their teachers and members of the community.
