Global Connections at Lincoln Middle School

Global Connections at Lincoln Middle School
Lincoln seventh graders are learning about the holiday Carnival while practicing speaking Spanish with their Spanish “video pals.”

Ms. Levitt and Mrs. Powell connected with an English Academy in the southwest of Spain. Lincoln students have the opportunity to practice their Spanish while the students in Spain practice their English with us.

Through the use of the Flipgrid platform, our students are able to exchange videos in a shared space with our classroom and their classroom.

Below is a picture of the English Academy students in Spain with a caption they shared, "Recording messages for our video pen pals from Chicago! Everyone was so nervous but the videos turned out so well! We help them learn Spanish and they help us learn English!"
