District 64's Newcomer Night

District 64's Newcomer Night

On Thursday, District 64 held a Newcomer Night, and it was an excellent opportunity for families in our community who have been in the country for one year or less.

Dozens of families attended the event and built a deeper understanding of the English Learner Program and friendships with other Newcomers from across the District.

It was invigorating to see all the fun and connections made. So many of our staff helped make this a successful evening. One of the many examples of support was Vera Andronenkova, a Teacher Assistant at Emerson Middle School, translating to/from Ukranian to ensure parents got all the information!

Thank you to everyone for participating.
